James Wright Chanel Gives An Update On His Emotional Struggles Following Alleged Chrisean Rock Assault (Video)

James Wright Chanel recently shared how the trauma of the Chrisean Rock alleged assault is emotionally affecting him.

The celebrity hairstylist sat down with the ‘Jst Us’ podcast and detailed his current struggles.

James alleges the ‘Vibe’ singer punched the TV personality in the face, knocking out some of his teeth. He contends Chrisean’s actions were unprovoked.

As the Shade Room reported, the incident allegedly happened backstage at Tamar’s concert on November 10.

“I be getting emotional when I talk about this,” James began.

“I’m still trying to figure out why this happened. Why did this happen to me,” he continued.

What Allegedly Happened According to James
James claims he was comforting an individual who was in tears and was suddenly sucker punched.

The chef said, “I wasn’t in an argument with anyone. I wasn’t going back and forth or arguing with anyone. None of that took place.”

“Now what I walked in on was that with other people. Not me. When I got in there I was consoling the person,” he said. 

“Cause the person was crying. I was like ‘Why you crying? What happened?’”

The digital media influencer said the alleged assault happened quickly. He had no time to react.

“And it was just boom, boom after that.” Wright said “when I came back to it” everyone was in a state of shock.

James’ Current Emotional State
He explained that the emotional aftermath affects his sleep patterns.

“I would wake up out of my sleep crying and not knowing why. And not knowing what that meant,” James stated. 

The comedian said he contacted a therapist who explained it was trauma.

“She said trauma will wake you up out of your sleep,” Chanel said. 

Chrisean Rock is currently facing criminal charges for the alleged incident.
