Jamie Lynn Spears is getting a lesson in skin 101.
The actress, 34, recently that she’s been struggling with adult acne—and relies on her Sweet Magnolia’s makeup artist to cover up her blemishes and keep her looking her best.
“I wish my skin looked like this in real life,” she posted alongside a smooth-skinned selfie on Instagram Aug. 18. “I was actually diagnosed with adult acne this year.”
She continued to shout out her Sweet Magnolia’s makeup artist Amber Crowe, calling her work “movie magic” as she “whips up to have Noreen looking fresh as a daisy.”
Jamie Lynn—whose older sister is Britney Spears—also credited Amber with motivating her to go to the dermatologist to get her diagnosis.
The makeup artist, who also worked on Dynasty and Vampire Diaries, reciprocated the love, reposting Jamie’s snap and adding, “I love you, Jamie Lynn!!!”
Jamie’s costar in the Netflix series, JoAnna Garcia Swisher, also complimented the Zoey 101 star, commenting, “You’re gorgeous.”
Though Jamie has been dealing with the skin condition, she hasn’t let that stop her from celebrating major milestones in her life, including daughter Maddie, 16—who she welcomed with ex Casey Aldridge at age 17—entering senior year of high school.
Maddie shared a series of photos from her first day, including a solo shot, pics with her friends on the school football field and even photos with her mom and sister, captioning the post, “last first day” with three graduation cap emojis.

And the teen has already decided her next steps once she graduates in the spring. Jamie—who also shares daughter Ivey, 7, with husband Jamie Watson—shared last fall that she’s getting ready to send Maddie off to college where she will be playing softball.
“All in my feels, bc my baby girl has committed to furthering her athletic & academic career at the University of Southern Miss,” Jamie Lynn wrote on Instagram in November 2025. “I feel like I can’t take much credit for anything, bc I have witnessed this kid go through, face, & overcome some impossible things by her own strong will, convictions, determination, & the sheer grace of God.”
She continued, “I can remember it like it was just yesterday, as the whole world watched and judged as I made the choice to have my baby at 16 years old. Fast fwd to today, and that same little baby girl is now 16 years old herself announcing that she will be going to play D1 ball for an amazing college.”
