Jaxson Dart scored a TD in Peach Bowl, but blew the celebration dunk
Lane Kiffin is on the cusp of getting a big bowl game win, and quarterback Jaxson Dart is leading the way.
However, the Mississippi quarterback might need to work on his celebration sideline dunks.
Mississippi has a basketball hoop on the sideline for the Peach Bowl, something Kiffin introduced back in October for the team’s game against Vanderbilt. Hoping to avoid a “trap game,” the head coach brought the hoop out to try and keep the team motivated.
“Just trying to think of all the things to make sure we were motivated this week, so it wasn’t kind of a trap game,” explained Kiffin to Cole Cubelic on the SEC Network. “I kind of looked at them, I thought Q’s was OK, and then after that I was kind of angry with how bad we played, so I didn’t watch.”
Dart scored on this short touchdown run to stake Mississippi to a 38-17 lead midway through the fourth quarter, meaning it would be his turn to throw down on the sideline:
However, the quarterback might want another shot at his attempt:
Dart now has three touchdown passes, to go with his touchdown run. But at least Kiffin will have something to criticize after the game in film review.
