Jenna Bush Hager admits daughter Mila, 10, has been sucked into TikTok skincare obsession
Skin is âinâ for 2024 â especially if youâre asking Jenna Bush Hagerâs 10-year-old daughter.
Speaking with her co-host, Hoda Kotb, on Mondayâs episode of âToday with Hoda & Jenna,â Hager, 43, shared that her eldest child, Mila, is part of the growing group of pre-teens who are currently obsessed with skincare.
âMy daughter Mila told me that she went to Target yesterday with a friend. And she goes, âLook what I bought. This mini Aquaphor, how cute is this?’â Bush Hager shared.
âI just thought, âWhere have we come?â,â she added.
Hager then revealed that Mila questioned why her mom didnât care as much as she did about her product purchases.
âIâm like, âMila, because you donât need it. Look at your beautiful skin. You donât need it,ââ the mom of three responded.
The former First Daughter revealed that despite the fact that her children do not have TikTok or even cell phones, the trend is âspreading downâ from kids who do use the app.

âMy kids do not have TikTok and theyâre still into it,â she told Kotb. âTheir friends get TikTok which then becomes the fabric of our culture.â
Bush Hager said that while her children arenât âarenât spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora,â which is something that has been displayed all over social media, âthey are going to CVS and Target.â
Kotb added that she, too, knows kids who are currently into skincare, and noted that many of the acidic ingredients included in these products, such as retinol, can actually be harmful for younger skin, according to dermatologists.

âBut itâs also, where are the Barbies? Where is the Nintendo?â Bush Hager questioned. âItâs so bizarre to me that their playground is a drugstore where, when we were little, we wanted to go to like, Toys âRâ Us and such.â
The two women arenât the only famous faces who are concerned about the rising trend.
Bethenny Frankel recently ranted about the âspoiledâ teenagers who shop for luxury products at Sephora.
âNow, girls that are my daughterâs age, that are her peers, talk to me like Iâm their peer. âSo what do you think of the Dior? Do you have the Drunk Elephant? Do you have the Charlotte Tilbury?ââ she said in an Instagram video. âAnd Iâm like, âBitch, youâre 14.ââ
