Jennifer Lopez’s Sister Visited Violet Affleck at Yale

Violet Affleck took a quick break from living her best Rory Gilmore life as a freshman at Yale to hang out with her…dad’s ex’s sister, a.k.a. Jennifer Lopez’s sister Lynda Lopez.

Lynda, a writer and producer, shared a glimpse of her own bond with Violet in an Instagram post, writing, “New Haven with my favorite Yalie! 💙.” The first picture is a selfie of the two of them taken by Violet, and the second and third slides show off the fall foliage on campus. In a welcome deviation from the internet’s usual tone, the comments on the post are overwhelmingly positive, praising the two ladies for having a warm relationship even if their family members have separated and suggesting that Lopez and Affleck didn’t let whatever acrimony is between them trickle down or out. Indeed, it’s just nice to see people getting along!
