Jess Hilarious Officially Joins ‘The Breakfast Club,’ Shares Announcement
It’s official: Jess Hilarious has joined Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy as the third co-host of iHeart morning show, The Breakfast Club.
The comedian shared an official announcement to her Instagram page Monday (Jan. 29), featuring voice-overs of various DJs, bloggers and podcasters discussing her potential employment with the hit show, as well as those who questioned her initial announcement and believed she lost the gig by speaking too soon.
The clip ends with the comic seated on a throne as her co-hosts step up behind her. “Thoughts Bout Breakfast Club Be Like……..,” she captioned the video. Check it out below.

Fans questioned her status with the show due to a seemingly insulting Instagram post aimed at Envy and Charlemagne, as Jess called them both “trash” for comparing SZA to Mary J. Blige.
“These Ni**as trash,” she wrote at the time. “Envy shut up! I know artists be pissed when old heads do this bc now everybody negative comparing SZA to MJB and it ain’t even her fault! She has her own identity.”
Observers immediately assumed that the Baltimore native lost her gig and chose to lash out at the two radio personalities, with one social media user writing, “So she spoke too soon and they pulled that offer. Now she mad as hell.” Another added, “This is why I don’t tell people things until it actually happens.”
Adding fuel to the fire was a recent The Breakfast Club appearance from Cam Newton, who asked Envy and Charlamagne about rumors of Jess landing and losing the gig. Instead of answering, the pair quickly dismissed the question and ended the interview.
Jess Hilarious has an official start date of Monday, Feb. 5.
