John Cena could join Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Undertaker in making shock WrestleMania appearances next month
John Cena is being linked with an iconic WWE return with WrestleMania just weeks away – and some legends could join him.
Cena has been busy teasing a wrestling comeback in recent weeks as he busily promotes his latest Hollywood movie, Ricky Stanicky.

He was at last year’s WrestleMania, for instance, where he battled rising upstart Austin Theory in a match-up for Theory’s United States title, but ultimately came up short.
Now, with WrestleMania closing in over the weekend of April 6 and 7 in Philadelphia, there is once again a clamour for the now 46-year-old to turn up.
The veteran hasn’t helped matters in teasing that he’d do exactly that, telling Jimmy Fallon in the States recently: “It’s April 6, Philadelphia. I know exactly where it is. I’m free that day, I’m just saying to you guys out there.”
READ MORE ON WWEA new report has since emerged suggesting that WWE may be planning for Cena to be involved – and some fellow wrestling legends.
The Wrestling Observer has reported that Cena could be involved in this year’s WrestleMania alongside The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Iconic Deadman Undertaker hasn’t wrestled for WWE since his retirement in 2020 following an epic bout against AJ Styles, while Austin’s last run-out was against Kevin Owens at Mania two years ago.
While the report didn’t go as far as suggesting either of the three would lace up and wrestle, it did note the possibility that the trio could be on hand to wow fans.

As well as The UndertakerCredit: WWEThe Observer’s Dave Meltzer wrote: “Nothing is official but the belief right now is that Steve Austin, Undertaker and John Cena will have something at WrestleMania in some form.
“At press time, there is no creative locked in for Cena and Austin at this moment, or if there is it’s a well-guarded secret.
“A lot depends on how much they are willing to do and money. Cena is free but depending on what acting stuff he has and how quick after he’s filming would determine how much he can or can’t do for insurance reasons.
“Austin and Undertaker would be based on willingness that they have.”
Cena at least is known for making unannounced appearances at WWE events.
He shocked fans in the UK by turning up at The O2 in London at the Premium Live Event, Money in the Bank, where he passionately called for WWE to bring WrestleMania to the city.
The Undertaker, meanwhile, made a surprise entrance of a different kind last month, leaving ex-Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo bemused when he appeared at the Riyadh Season Cup final.
The Demon of Death Valley made his presence known before the Al Nassr vs Al Hilal match, presenting the trophy in advance of kick-off.
