John Stones injury ‘doesn’t look good’ after suffering another setback this season in title blow for Man City

The central defender has been looking to get his season up and running after a hip injury prevented him from getting his campaign underway until October.

Named in the starting XI to face his former club, Stones was forced off after a tangle of legs with striker Beto saw him go down in an awkward manner.
Looking in some discomfort and undergoing treatment, the defender was forced off and replaced by Josko Gvardiol.
It remains to be seen how serious the injury might be, but Stones will be praying that it won’t impact his season too much.
So far this season, the 29-year-old has made 13 appearances in all competitions.

The injury to Stones wasn’t the only bad news for Pep Guardiola either, with Jack Harrison scoring in the first half to give Everton a surprise 1-0 lead.
However Phil Foden drew the game level shortly after half time with a fizzing effort.
Julian Alvarez put City 2-1 up in the second half before Bernardo Silva wrapped up the win.
Despite earning a much-needed victory, Guardiola was concerned by the injury to Stones when asked post-match.
