Jon Jones puts Tom Aspinall on blast for constant callouts: ‘I have no clue who 90 percent of his resume is’

Editorâs note: Post contains new series of Jones posts on X after hours of silence.
Tom Aspinallâs patience is running thin, and UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones is getting tired of his callouts.
Aspinall, the current interim heavyweight champ, wants to unify his belt with Jones, but heâll have to wait a while. Jones is currently recovering from a torn pectoralis tendon, as well as a procedure he just underwent on his elbow.
But Jones (27-1 MMA, 21-1 UFC) wonât be facing Aspinall (14-3 MMA, 7-1 UFC) upon his return. Instead, the UFC intends on rebooking Jones vs. Stipe Miocic, with both men on board, as well. And that has Aspinall frustrated.
Aspinall repeatedly has expressed his discontent, and Jones, tired of hearing it, has reached a boiling point. Check out their exchanges below.
Jones mocks Aspinall’s callouts
Only four recognizable opponents, and already the king of England, must be nice. There will be legendary tales told about you and your infamous call outs. đ

Jones questions Aspinall’s resume
I mean, it doesnât really work like that. I was a champion when I was 23 years old, you canât show up at age 30 pretending like youâve been chasing me your whole life. I have no clue who 90% of his rĂ©sumĂ© is, meanwhile, Iâve been highlighting UFC events my entire career. https://t.co/aJdJT8UpGm

Aspinall responds
Jon youâre letting your ego run wild here mate. Iâm not downplaying youâre rĂ©sumĂ©, itâs incredible. Far superior to mine. You are known as the best fighter ever, and thatâs EXACTLY why I want to beat you. Surely you can understand that? https://t.co/jCo4Obz9pY

Jones reminds everyone of his accolades
Itâs a wild world we live in! People can be so quick to try to replace you, throw you away, discredit your work. Thatâs the best thing about them stats or just being able to see the fruits of your labor. Be an absolute savage at what you do, at whatever capacity that may be. LetâŠ

Aspinall accuses Jones and Miocic of ducking him
Jon Jones: âyou need to fight people who build your legacyâ
Me: âgreat idea. Absolutelyâ
UFC: âdo you wanna fight Tom?â
Stipe: ânoâ
Jon: ânoâ
Me: âđ€

Hours go by, Jones keeps going
I love how a fighter can do an interview about me every week, make silly memes on the Internet. And then, when I respond, they play the victim role. Lol

Jones gets nasty, mocks Aspinall’s ‘imaginary championship’
Tom, you talking about someoneâs ego running wild is one of the most hypocritical things ever., You literally havenât kept my balls out of your mouth since you won that imaginary championship. Both you and Serge have zero championships between your name. Itâs funny that youâŠ

Jones says ‘unfinished business’ with Miocic
My stipe fight was booked well before yours came along, you werenât even the back up fighter.. Trust me youâre the one who is coming around here with the inflated ego and entitlement. That intern championship means absolutely nothing if you seriously havenât noticed yet. All yourâŠ

‘What a chicken’
Yep, Iâm terrified. No matter who wouldâve won that interim, championship, the narrative still would be the same. The goat is getting older now, and is running from fights. 36-year-old lifelong champion starting to contemplate retirement. What a chicken. https://t.co/yCc6YNG2QM

‘I came, I saw, and I conquered’
What I refuse to do is be like a lot of these other fighters who stuck around too long. That just wonât happen. Your boy Bones Jones over here, despite what a lot of people may like to think. Ive set myself up pretty well in life. I want Stipe for my rĂ©sumĂ©, outside of that, IâŠ
