Jourdan Lewis disses George Pickens after Cowboys beat Steelers
Following the final play of the Week 5 game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers, a frustrated George Pickens grabbed the face mask of Dallas cornerback Jourdan Lewis, which almost started a fight.
It was an ugly look for Pickens, who showed poor sportsmanship after the Steelers’ loss to the Cowboys was in the books. Granted, Lewis appeared to be talking trash in Pickens’ face, but that doesn’t excuse what the wide receiver did.
As Lewis made his way to the locker room after the game, it was his turn to take a shot and not only did he say the Steelers need a wide receiver, he called Pickens “weak.”
First, here’s a look at Pickens grabbing Lewis’ face mask.

— Bobby Belt (@BobbyBeltTX) October 7, 2024It was a rough night for Pickens overall.
Not only did he have just three receptions for 26 yards, he also had a crucial drop on a third-and-4 play. Adding to that, Pickens saw two of his fellow receivers — Calvin Austin and Van Jefferson — run more routes and play more snaps, something that was truly baffling.Â
When asked about Pickens’ lack of usage, head coach Mike Tomlin called it “snap management” and compared it to rotating defensive linemen. Tomlin added that there was nothing more to it than that.
Pickens is the second key player to get publicly dissed by an opponent in as many weeks. Indianapolis Colts linebacker Zaire Franklin called running back Najee Harris “soft” last week after he flipped off the Indy crowd before the game.
