Justin Timberlake arrested on DWI charges in Sag Harbor
Justin Timberlake was arrested on DWI-related charges Monday night in Sag Harbor, NY, Page Six can confirm.
The âMirrorsâ singer, 43, was photographed looking downcast in a black hat, sunglasses, a black shirt over a graphic tee, light-wash jeans and white Nike sneakers as he was released without bail Tuesday morning with prominent Hamptons attorney Edward Burke Jr. by his side.
Weâre told Timberlake was charged with one count of driving while intoxicated and cited for two traffic violations: running a stop sign and failing to stay in his lane.
His next court date is set for July 26, but he will not have to attend the procedural hearing.

A source tells us that the former *NSYNC member was pulled over after having dinner with friends at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor, where âthere were cops stationed outside.â
Our insider shares that the arresting officer âwas so young that he didnât even know who the pop star was,â adding, âHe didnât recognize him or his name.â
We hear Timberlake failed a field sobriety test but ârefusedâ to take a breathalyzer test.
âHis friends were telling the police, âLet him go, let him go,’â our source says.

It is not known whether Timberlakeâs wife, Jessica Biel, was at dinner with the group, as she was seen filming the TV series âThe Better Sisterâ in Manhattan earlier in the day.
Alcohol- and drug-related violations in New York include DWI (driving while intoxicated), which indicates a blood alcohol content of .08 or higher, and DWAI (driving while ability impaired), which is a BAC of more than .05 but less than .07. The state does not use the term DUI (driving under the influence).
Neither Timberlakeâs rep nor the Sag Harbor Village Police Department immediately responded to Page Sixâs requests for comment.

The Grammy winner is currently in the midst of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour in support of his sixth studio album, âEverything I Thought It Was,â which he released in March.
He last performed Saturday at the Kaseya Center in Miami and has two concerts scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the United Center in Chicago followed by back-to-back shows next Tuesday and Wednesday at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
It is unclear whether Timberlake will have to postpone any of his tour dates following his arrest.

The âSexyBackâ crooner has not spoken out about the incident on social media, where he last posted Sunday in honor of Fatherâs Day.

While this is the former Mouseketeerâs first known arrest, he is no stranger to controversy.
Timberlake has faced two decadesâs worth of backlash from fans of his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears after he publicly accused her of cheating on him during their three-year relationship in the early aughts.
The âTrollsâ voice actor issued a belated apology to Spears in 2021, writing on Instagram that he had âfailedâ the âToxicâ singer, 42, and wanted to âtake accountabilityâ for his âmissteps.â

In his since-deleted post, Timberlake also apologized to Janet Jackson for infamously exposing her breast during their 2004 Super Bowl halftime show, saying he âbenefitted from a system that condones misogyny and racism.â
Biel, 42, also has been a recipient of a public mea culpa from her husband, who was caught holding hands with his âPalmerâ co-star Alisha Wainwright in 2019 during a drunken night out in New Orleans.
Timberlake acknowledged on social media at the time that he had âdisplayed a strong lapse in judgement [sic]â in an âembarrassing situationâ but denied cheating on his wife.
