Katy Perry Speaks Out About a Viral Photo of Orlando Bloom Seemingly Checking Out Kim Kardashian
No bad blood here.
Katy Perry is speaking out after a photo of her fiancĂ© Orlando Bloom seemingly checking out Kim Kardashianâs, err, assets has gone viral.
The image, which was snapped on Sept. 9 at the Kering Caring for Women Dinner during New York Ready to Wear Fashion Week, features the Pirates of the Caribbean star standing behind the âWomanâs Worldâ singer at the event, while his gaze seemed to land on the reality starâs curves in a figure-hugging ensemble she described as a â3D Molded Liquid Rubber Balenciaga Wet Dress.â
But Katy, who wore a strapless aqua blue sequin Balenciaga gown to the event, wasnât threatened by the moment. If anything, she understands completely.
After radio DJ Elvis Duran mentioned the âclickbaitâ photo of Orlandoâs cheeky glance during his Sept. 10 show, he noted, âI mean how could you not?â
The 39-year-old, who is set to recieve MTV’s Video Vanguard Award at the 2024 VMAs, shrugged off the moment, saying, âI approve,â later asking, âSo wait, whatâs the controversy?â
In fact, Katy and Kim, 43, were photographed deep in conversation at the event, looking very friendly.

As for Katy and Orlando, 47, the couple, who share 4-year-old daughter Daisy, are used to tuning out outside noise.
After initially getting together in 2016, Katy recently shared some insight into how they maintain a healthy relationship for the sake of their family.
âWe want to evolve thatâs I think why weâre in our relationship is to become better humans so we can raise this beautiful human being,â she said on Alex Cooperâs Call Her Daddy podcast on Sept. 4. âItâs been different layers. The more we do the work, the more we find the next level.â

Reflecting on their time in coupleâs counseling, the âWide Awakeâ singer noted that itâs an ongoing process.
âSometimes we get stuck,â she admitted, âand weâre like, âOK, letâs go in to do the work and this is going to be annoying, and I donât want to do it. We donât have the time. Iâm tired.â But weâre gonna do it. And we find the next level. Thatâs why weâre continuing in the relationship.â
