King Harris, T.I.’s Son, Arrested On ‘Failure To Appear’ Warrant
T.I.‘s son, King Harris, was arrested earlier during the week on a failure to appear warrant. WSB-TV 2 Atlanta reported that the 19-year-old rapper was detained in Dunwoody over the warrant. Investigators told the outlet that the arrest went down after the father to be attempted to exit a gas station parking lot. As Harris pulled out of the lot, he almost hit a police officer’s car, leading the cops to sound their alarms and pursue the artist.
After law enforcement pulled over Harris’ BMW, the police claimed they smelled the scent of marijuana coming from his vehicle. When the cops pressed King Harris about the smell and his vehicle’s registration, they allegedly noticed that he had a gun on his person.
Authorities then asked the young man to put his hands on the steering wheel as they ran Harris’ information through their database. After they ran his information, they found a warrant out for his arrest in Pickens County in Georgia. The officer responsible for the arrest spoke to the outlet about what transpired next.
“I informed Mr. Harris that I would need to speak with him outside and opened the driver-side door,” the officer claimed. “Mr. Harris was cooperative, and I removed the firearm from his hip with no issue. I then had Mr. Harris step out of the vehicle, and I detained him by placing handcuffs on him. I escorted Mr. Harris to my patrol vehicle, conducted a pat down, and placed him into the rear of my vehicle.”
While two other people were in the car, Harris was the only person arrested. King Harris was hauled off to DeKalb County Jail after his arrest, while one other person in the car was given a citation for marijuana possession.
T.I. nor King Harris have addressed the arrest.
