LaPointe Fall 2025 Ready-to-Wear
On Super Bowl Sunday, Sally LaPointe took the fashion crowd to the National Basketball Players Association, not to watch basketball but to celebrate her 15th anniversary. It was a splashy scene, starting with a dance performance by Supa Girlz and with a glitzy front row that included the likes of âimage architectâ Law Roach. For LaPointe it was a momentous occasion, she explained backstage, and a surreal one. To be a woman in the fashion business whoâs not only successful but also has lasted 15 years is almost a rarity these days. And to celebrate the moment she even had her best friend and business partner Sarah Adelson come out so they could take their bows together. âI just told Sarah, âCome on we have to.â I mean weâre both so proud of what weâve done together in the past 15 years,â said LaPointe.
But on to the clothes, which included the typical bold and loud looks weâve come to expect from the brand. Feathers were present to accentuate skirts and pants, which have come to be a favorite of Kris Jenner, and there was a nod to the brandâs past with fur trimmings (that used to be a favorite of young Kendall Jenner back in the day). But today LaPointe added a contemporary touch where instead of those fur trimmings accentuating basic knits, there were blazer sleeves covered in fur for a plush yet a strong look.
âYou know, thinking about my 15 years, the word that came to me was endurance,â said LaPointe. And one thing that was apparent throughout the runway show was that she knows exactly what her customers are looking for, and the pieces were designed for the likes of her VIP guests who were seated in the front row.
