Las Vegas Sands supports local youth programs with $100,000 grant

Las Vegas Sands is deepening its commitment to community advancement with a $100,000 donation to 100 Black Men Las Vegas, made through its Sands Cares program.

The funding will support a range of initiatives aimed at empowering youth across Southern Nevada, with a focus on education, mentoring, and career development.

This year’s contribution will expand existing programs and launch several new ones. Among the highlights is a STEM initiative designed to spark students’ interest in science and technology. Another new project, Pathways to Public Service, will introduce young people to careers in public safety, such as law enforcement and emergency services. Additionally, the Realtist Academy will offer training for those pursuing careers in real estate and mortgage brokerage.

The grant will also support the organization’s efforts to secure a permanent facility — a major step toward ensuring long-term program sustainability and accessibility.

Gentry Richardson, President of 100 Black Men Las Vegas, emphasized the importance of Sands’ ongoing support, noting that the partnership has played a vital role in the organization’s growth. He praised the alignment between their mission and Sands’ community values, saying it has helped expand their reach and deepen their impact on local youth.
