Capitol ChristianCapitol Christian Music Group has revealed three promotions: Carlos Monnaco is now SVP of finance, nearly 10-year company vet Emily Dashiell has been elevated to SVP of commercial partnerships, and Jeff Gunkel has been bumped to SVP of market development.
BMGMaximilian Kolb, BMG’s EVP of repertoire and marketing for continental Europe, is stepping down after about 12 years with the company. BMG UK exec Alistair Norbury will assume Kolb’s duties on an interim basis until 2024’s end.
Additionally, BMG has brought on former JKBX, Big Machine, and Exactuals team member Jenn Dobbins as SVP of rights and royalties.
Universal Music Publishing GroupUMPG has hired former Netflix and Warner Music marketing professional Alix Kram as its first global head of marketing.
ASM GlobalAfter some three decades in executive roles with the Phoenix Suns, Ralph Marchetta has joined ASM Global as regional VP of live entertainment.
Sony Music Publishing UKSMP UK has boosted Rob Stratton, who’s been with the company for over five years, to VP of visual and media rights.
California Copyright ConferenceThe California Copyright Conference has announced its officers and directors for 2024-25.
On the former front, the CCC’s new officers are Exploration’s Rene Merideth (president), Disney Music Group’s Carolyn Soyars (VP), SESAC’s Alexandra Guzman (treasurer), Bardic Inspiration Music Services’ Sarah Brockman (secretary), and Peermusic’s Jean Montiel (assistant secretary).
Shifting to the board, reelected members include Sound Royalties’ Reggie Calloway, Angry Mob Music’s Debra Delshad, industry consultant Cheryl Dickerson, and Seeker Music’s Paula Savastano.
And newly elected members, for their part, are Austintatious Tunes’ Tara Austin, Heavy Harmony’s Rhonda Bedikian, publishing administrator Janelle Hawkes, producer-songwriter Brandon Jarrett, and ASCAP’s Wayne Josel.
Lastly, Sweet on Top’s Kristina Benson and Clearly Music Services’ Jonathan Lane are serving their second board terms, with A Bun Dance Productions’ James Jacoby and Star Vibe Group’s Sherry Orson as alternates.
GEMALongtime IT professional Ralph Kink, previously with Microsoft, is signing on as GEMA’s head of digital transformation on September 1st.
Blue Raincoat MusicReservoir’s Blue Raincoat has hired Roman Tagoe, formerly a BMG and Napster higher-up, as streaming director for Chrysalis Records in the UK.
Prager MetisPrager Metis has welcomed Jared Mahar as a partner in its tax department.
ParagonBroadcast-focused digital strategist Seth Resler is officially Paragon’s community building consultant.
EastCoast EntertainmentEastCoast has announced the hiring of The Downtown Band booking agent Beth Potter at its Nashville office.
iHeartMediaAlex Mac is poised to begin as night host for iHeartMedia Washington, D.C.’s DC101 on August 28th.
KobaltKobalt has confirmed Bob Bruderman, who came aboard back in 2013, as its first chief digital officer. Additionally, head of global creative Alison Donald, having started in that role in March of 2023 after joining the company in 2017, is departing Kobalt at August’s end.
