Latest Music Industry Hires: Warner Chappell, SONA, Angel Studios, A2IM, More

Warner Chappell MusicWarner Chappell has promoted more than 15-year team member Lázaro Hernández to SVP of A&R for U.S. Latin and Latin America.

Additionally, 14-year Warner Chappell Germany higher-up Natascha Augustin has been boosted to managing director, with Lars Karlsson, previously MD of both WCM Germany and WCM Scandinavia, now focusing “on the publisher’s expanding business in the Nordics.”

SONASongwriters of North America has established a New York chapter and announced a series of leadership shifts, including the elevation of Michelle Lewis, previously executive director, to CEO of SONA as well as the associated-but-distinct SONA Foundation. Meanwhile, industry vet Erin McAnally has signed on as executive director.

Next, Sound Circle Management head Kellie Brown has become COO of SONA proper and its namesake foundation, whereas Linda Bloss-Baum, who spent about nine years with SoundExchange, has joined SONA’s board and “been retained to lend her expertise in policy and government affairs.”

Lastly, SONA’s board has also added Truideation co-founder Camus Celli, who’ll “lead the new New York chapter and head SONA’s growth efforts on the east coast.”

Angel StudiosAngel Studios has hired former Millennium Media head of music Ryan Svendsen in the same role.

A2IMFormer Qobuz music merchandiser Emmaline McCourt has come aboard the American Association of Independent Music as membership manager.

BMGBMG Nashville president Jon Loba has transitioned to president of frontline recordings for North America, and Thomas Scherer has pivoted from president of repertoire and marketing to president of global catalog recordings.

Primary WavePrimary Wave has brought on Agnes Kacicki (previously an RBC Capital Markets director) as head of corporate development.

V13V13 Promotions has officially launched its publicity division and elevated marketing and publicity intern Erin Browne to publicity and marketing manager.
