Leafs vs. Senators schedule: Dates, times, TV channels, scores for 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs 1st-round series
The Leafs posted their fourth straight 100-point season, but they don’t have any postseason hardware to show for it.
Toronto reached the second round once and was bounced twice in the first round over the past three seasons. This year is a chance to change the narrative.
The Leafs finished with the second-best record in the Eastern Conference and won the Atlantic Division. They will play the Ottawa Senators in the first round.
The Sens haven’t made the playoffs since the 2016-17 season when they lost in the conference finals. Each year since has been disappointing, with this year being the first time they’ve amassed 40 wins since 2016-17.
Ottawa will have its work cut out for it as the Leafs not only have the talent, but they have significant playoff experience. Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, William Nylander and John Tavares form a strong foursome on the attack. Each has tallied at least 70 points, with Marner hitting 100.
Meanwhile, the Sens’ top point scorer is Tim Stutzle, a 23-year-old in his fifth NHL season. Ottawa’s roster doesn’t quite compare to Toronto’s, but that hasn’t stopped teams from upsetting the Leafs in the past. Perhaps Ottawa can be the next.
Here’s what you need to know to watch Leafs vs. Senators, including broadcast information and start times.
