Lil Uzi Vert Looking To Remove All Tattoos To Have More “Corporate” Look

Lil Uzi Vert is looking to make a big change. The enigmatic rapper plans to remove all their tattoos to portray a specific look.

Ryan Leutz of LA Weekly interviewed the “Just Wanna Rock” artist on Thursday (Dec. 28) and inquired about which of their tattoos was their favorite. “My favorite tattoo [is] none of them,” Uzi said while smoking a vaporizer. “I’m trying to get them removed. All of them. I wanna go corporate.”

This was an interesting revelation as it completely contradicted their original reasons for getting inked up. In 2017, they told The FADER the story of getting kicked out by their mother for quitting a job at Bottom Dollar Food and using their first tattoo, “Faith” written underneath their hairline, as motivation to make something of themself in music. “I had a job for f**king four days,” they said. “I couldn’t do it. I’m not normal. I was in there just thinking, ‘Why am I doing this?’”

“It was like, ‘If I get this face tattoo, I got to focus,’” Lil Uzi Vert continued in the interview. “I can’t go in nobody’s office with a suit on with this sh*t on my face. I got to focus on what I want to do.”

Uzi’s plan worked, as they have become one of the biggest stars of the last several years. They recently released their third studio album Pink Tape in June 2023, which was the first 2023 Hip-Hop album to go No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Pink Tape featured Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, Don Toliver, and more. Since then, the Philadelphia rapper has been teasing their forthcoming projects Barter 16 and Luv Is Rage 3. They recently released their new track “Red Moon” with an accompanying music video. If the record, plus the Luv Is Rage 3 promotion at the end of the visual, is any indication, then fans may soon hear the old Lil Uzi Vert music that made them beloved in the first place.
