Liverpool have agreed compensation with Feyenoord over their move to hire Arne Slot as their new manager, according to multiple reports. Slot has said it was “no secret” that he wanted to join Liverpool as they bid to replace Jurgen Klopp, and now it would appear that another step has been taken towards the Dutchman filling the soon-to-be vacant hotseat at Anfield.head coach Arne Slot of Feyenoord looks on after the Dutch Eredivisie match between Go Ahead Eagles and Feyenoord at De Adelaarshorst on April 25, 2024 in Deventer, Netherlands.

Liverpool have reportedly agreed a compensation package with Eredivisie side Feyenoord that will allow Arne Slot to replace Jurgen Klopp.
He will be the replacement for Klopp, who announced in January that he would be leaving Liverpool at the end of the current campaign.
Slot has been at Feyenoord since 2021, helping the club win the league title last season.
The Dutchman’s team are second in the table in their current campaign and won the Dutch Cup last weekend following a 1-0 victory against Nijmegen.
‘If Slot is the solution, then I’m more than happy’ – Klopp on Liverpool
“What I like about it, if you say that he [Slot] really wants to be manager here – I like that a lot,” he said. “I think that’s exactly that’s the way it should be. I like the positivity around it, what people tell me – if he would be the next manager, they would be happy. Very good style as well.
“This is a sensational club that deserves a manager full of energy, full of knowledge, plays really good football. That’s what I know about him. I don’t know him personally. But I know his team is playing really good and exciting football. I liked it a lot when I watched it.
“I’m happy the better the hands are the club will be in for the next years, the better it is for me because I will follow everything and will watch it from wherever in the world.”
Liverpool had also considered Sporting Lisbon’s Ruben Amorim and Bayern Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso, with the latter publicly confirming he had chosen to stay at his current club rather than move to the Premier League.
Klopp’s side will try to keep pace with Arsenal and Manchester City in the Premier League title race after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Everton earlier this week.
