Liverpool transfer target speaks out on future
The player in question is Federico Valverde, who is under contract with Real Madrid until 2027 currently.
Liverpool were linked with the South American midfielder for much of the summer and earlier in the year but no move came to pass.
The Reds instead signed four more central midfielders but are still lacking in the holding midfielder department.
Valverde generally operates as a box-to-box midfielder or even on the right-wing for Real Madrid under Carlo Ancelotti, so he may not be the perfect signing for Liverpool as they search for a no.6. But his quality is undeniable and he would surely improve Jurgen Klopp’s side anyway.
However, the 25-year-old has dropped a hint over his future recently and it does not sound like he has any plans to leave the Bernabeu right now.
Speaking to reporters, the Uruguayan said, “Premier League offers? I have the possibility of playing for Real. The day I don’t feel like that, I will probably look for another solution or Real itself will look for one for me.”
