Lizzo Seemingly Quits The Music Industry In Emotional Social Media Post
Lizzo recently took to Instagram and seemingly revealed she is quitting the music industry.
The New York Post stated the superstar is tired of being âthe butt of the joke.â

The singer, 35, posted a message explaining her emotions to her 21.1 million Instagram followers.
Lizzoâs Poignant Message
âIâm tired of being dragged by everyone in my life and on the internet.â
âAll I want is to make music and make people happy and help the world be a little better than how I found it,â she said.
âBut Iâm starting to feel like the world doesnât want me in it,â Lizzo added.
âIâm constantly up against lies being told about me for clout & viewsâŠâ the Grammy winner explained.
She continued, âbeing the butt of the joke every single time because of how I look⊠my character being picked apart by people who donât know me and disrespecting my nameâŠâ
She ended her message by stating, âI didnât sign up for this s*** I QUIT.â

Celebrities extended words of encouragement.
Rapper Killer Mike commented, âKeep Ya Head Up, Champion @lizzobeeating Love and Respect.â
Actress and comedian Michelle Buteau added, âWe love you, boo.â She accompanied her message with a pink heart emoji.
Additionally, the âSpecialâ singerâs followers showered her with love to encourage her not to allow hater to dim her light.
Lizzoâs Legal Trouble
As previously reported, the singerâs announcement follows her former backup dancersâ lawsuit against her. Furthermore, they accused the singer of sexual harassment and weight shaming. Moreover, the dancers claim Lizzo cultivated a toxic work environment.
The flutist denies the claims.
