Long Vehicle Divides Into Two Whilst In Motion

Asokwa highway in Kumasi witnessed on Saturday, March 11, 2024, a bizarre situation on the road.

A long vehicle whilst joining the highway from an ancillary road, divided into two. The head and the carriage of the long vehicle were torn apart. The scene witnessed a lone police officer who probably was in advance of others to get traffic organized and maintain order.

Kumasi, regional capital of the Ashanti region of Ghana, has few and far between occurrences that are gathering momentum as far as bizarre accidents involving big trucks.

Last year alone, there were a number of brake failures in some of these trucks in crowded markets, that saw the vehicles running over traders or bystanders and killing them instantly.
