Littler beat Humphries at the Dutch Masters
In a repeat of the PDC World Championships final this year, ‘The Nuke’ went two legs up before losing three in a row.

After trading leg for leg, the two Lukes went the whole way before Littler landed a bullseye to win 6-5.

The 17-year-old is now in the semi-finals of the Dutch Masters, looking to win back-to-back World Series events.

It was only earlier this month when the teenager bagged the Bahrain Masters in the first World Series event of the year.

And now by beating Humphries, he has banished his Alexandra Palace loss to the back of his mind as he looks to make 2024 the year of Littler.

The youngster hit five 180s, including two in a row in the fifth leg to pick the Den Bosch crowd up.

However, he could not repeat his nine-darter magic that he did in the first leg of the Bahrain Masters against Nathan Aspinall.

But even the world champion couldn’t stand in Littler’s way, who beat Gerwyn Price and Michael van Gerwen in Bahrain as well.

Littler landed victory with a big bullseye finish
And he could face Price yet again, who takes on Kevin Doets in the other quarter-final.

Littler destroyed Dirk van Duijvenbode 6-2 in the first round to hush a volatile Dutch crowd.

And he looks on course to continue his domination with a Premier League debut in the offing later this year.

Having already beaten some of the world’s best players, there is no denying that Littler does not deserve his spot on the oche despite his rapid rise.

As for Humphries, this is the second early exit at a World Series event having crashed out to Price in the quarter-finals of the Bahrain Masters.

‘Cool Hand Luke’ had a magnificent year last year, winning the Grand Prix, Grand Slam and then the Worlds in early January.
