Man United ‘handed major boost’ in pursuit of Erik ten Hag replacement
Ex-Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic is reportedly ‘ready for a new job’ amid suggestions that he is on Manchester United’s shortlist of potential Erik ten Hag replacements.
Edin Terzic is reportedly ‘ready for a new job’, with Manchester United said to be considering bringing in the former Borussia Dortmund manager as a replacement for Erik ten Hag.
There was huge speculation surrounding Ten Hag’s future heading into the October international break, but the Dutchman insisted last week that “stories”, “fairytales” and “lies” had been created by sections of the media.
The 54-year-old was able to guide the Red Devils to a huge 2-1 victory over Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday, with the home side coming from behind to triumph at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag’s future at the helm is far from secure, though, and there remains huge pressure on the ex-Ajax head coach.
Man United will be back in action against Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday evening, before heading to West Ham United in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Terzic ‘is on Man United’s managerial shortlist’
Poor results in the next two matches would again lead to speculation surrounding a change of management at Old Trafford, and Terzic has recently been linked with the role.
According to journalist Patrick Berger, Terzic is now ready to return to management and has been ‘watching a lot of games in England and Italy’, as he waits for the right opportunity to return.
West Ham and AC Milan are also believed to be considering the 41-year-old, who led Dortmund to last season’s Champions League final before surprisingly standing down as head coach.
Terzic managed 156 games during two spells as BVB boss, boasting a record of 83 wins, 20 draws and 21 defeats, winning the German Cup in the process, and he is regarded as one of the most talented young managers in Europe.

Will Ten Hag survive the sack at Man United?
Due to the nature of the role, Ten Hag is only ever a couple of defeats away from a disaster, so the Dutchman has a huge job on his hands when it comes to potentially steadying his position at the club.
Man United were much-improved against Brentford on Saturday, showing character to come from behind, but they now have two difficult away matches in quick succession.
Positive results in both, though, would lead the team nicely into successive home fixtures with Leicester City and Chelsea in the EFL Cup and Premier League respectively, before hosing PAOK in the Europa League on November 7.
Man United have only lost one of their last eight games in all competitions, and the club are still backing Ten Hag for the moment, but more signs of progression will need to be on display against Fenerbahce and West Ham.
