Man Utd name asking price for Jadon Sancho as Chelsea may ‘make’ an offer

Manchester United have set a price of £35 million ($45.5m) for winger Jadon Sancho as Chelsea reportedly show interest in the player.

Sancho’s potential departure could be one of the key stories in the closing days of the summer transfer window.

Sancho’s absence from Manchester United’s squad in their opening Premier League match—due to an ear infection—has put his availability back in the spotlight.

Despite a recent re-integration into the squad, Sancho’s future remains uncertain.

Chelsea’s interest and Sancho’s futureChelsea are among the clubs exploring a move for the 24-year-old. Reports suggest that the Blues might offer two academy players as part of a deal or propose a loan arrangement with an obligation to buy. This would include covering Sancho’s salary during the loan period.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have also been linked with Sancho, but no concrete move has materialized from the French club as of now.

The Englishman, who joined Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund for £73 million ($94.9m) in 2021, has not lived up to expectations at Old Trafford.

Current transfer situationSancho’s current asking price of £35 million ($45.5m) reflects his recent performances. Since his transfer to England, he has made 83 appearances for United, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists. Last season, while on loan at Dortmund, he managed three goals and three assists in 21 matches.

Despite the potential for a move, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano believes there is a 60% chance Sancho will stay at Manchester United.

The situation remains fluid, with Manchester United needing to finalize their plans before the transfer window closes on August 30.

As the deadline approaches, Sancho’s future remains one of the most anticipated transfer sagas of the summer, with Chelsea keen to finalize their bid and potentially strengthen their squad with the talented winger.
