Marlon Wayans Reacts To Brittany Moreland’s Request For Increased Child Support In Paternity Suit (Exclusive)

Marlon Wayans is clearing the air on several claims tied to the news of a paternity suit pending against him. The actor spoke exclusively to The Shade Room about reports citing a “secret” child with a woman named Brittany Moreland.

Marlon Shuts Down Reports Of Keeping Daughter A Secret
First and foremost, Wayans clarified that he’s not hiding his alleged one-year-old daughter from the world. Instead, the ‘White Chicks’ star aimed to protect the baby from public comments, especially on social media.

“All love, all GOD. The baby isn’t a secret. The mama has been posted. But I chose to keep the baby’s private life private. Ain’t nobody’s business. Social media is toxic and dangerous, and I’d like to keep her peace,” Marlon told TSR.

As previously reported, 34-year-old Brittany filed court documents on March 18 to establish Marlon as the father of Axl July Ivory Wayans. RadarOnline and The Blast first reported the news of the paternity suit, initially citing the child as a “secret.” Those headlines are what inspired Marlon’s clarification between keeping Axl a secret and private.

Brittany Moreland is apparently seeking primary physical and legal custody of the child while agreeing to allow Axl visitations with Marlon Wayans.

But the actor isn’t here for being called a “visitor,” and he seemingly implied he’ll be seeking joint custody or, at least, more than what she’s offering in the paternity suit.

“Do you pay all that money per month and be called a ‘visitor?’ Do the math. This is delusional. I will let the lawyers and God do what they do. I’ll be creating art from a broken heart. I got nothing but love. Even when it’s bad, it’s good…it’s GOD.”

Marlon Wayans Addresses Brittany Moreland’s Child Support Requests
While speaking exclusively to TSR, Marlon Wayan also addressed the child support requests in Brittany’s paternity suit.

“It’s the classic case of a good, loving, responsible father shelling out over $18k per month for a one-year-old, and an entitled woman decides she wants more. My mama and dem would’ve lost their minds for $2K,” Wayans said.

For context, RadarOnline reports that Brittany is alleging her monthly expenses related to Axl total about $21,000. She broke down the monthly costs by citing $5,000 for rent, $9,000 for food, daycare, and other expenses, and an additional $1,500 for her daughter’s clothing and program uniforms. She’s also reportedly seeking an additional $2,000 per month under the label “child care” so she can return to work. As a reminder, the child is about 12 months old.

Her court documents also reference Marlon’s alleged estimated income of $200,000 per month.

Marlon confirmed to TSR that he has not sought to lower his $18,000 monthly payments.

“No, I have not. I probably could and should, but goes to show no good deed goes unpunished. But I remain in light and love and keep a smile on my heart.”

Ultimately, Marlon seems to imply that Brittany is playing greedy. He cited his amicable relationship with the mother of his other two children, Angela Zachery. Despite being “a good man,” Marlon said he refuses to be “used.”

“All these women having to drag men to court who pay NOTHING towards their children. And here, a woman gets a doctor’s salary and says it isn’t enough? I’ve had two children before this. I’ve never had this problem. I’m a good man with a good heart and strong sense of responsibility, but I refuse to be used and discredited.”
