Marvel Rivals’ First Ever PvE Mode Gets Gameplay as Zombies Invade the Free PS5 Title This Week

Where’s Deadpool when you need him?

Ahead of its Halloween event dropping later this week, on the 23rd October, Marvel Rivals has handed us a zombie-filled gameplay trailer.

This is the free-to-play title’s first ever foray into co-op PvE, as teams of heroes are tasked with taking down waves of undead enemies while completing set objectives.

As you progress, you’ll be able to unlock ‘blessings’ — passive buffs that’ll help you survive each run. You’ll also unlock additional difficulty levels, which are bound to get brutal later on.

There’s no official word on when this limited-time event will come to an end, although there are already players demanding that it sticks around for a lot longer than a couple of weeks. We assume that developer NetEase Games will be keeping an eye on the mode’s player count.

Robert (or Rob if you’re lazy) is an assistant editor of Push Square, and has been a fan of PlayStation since the 90s, when Tekken 2 introduced him to the incredible world of video games. He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Persona, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Trails, Tales — he’s played ’em all. A little too much, some might say.
