Jean-Philippe Mateta scored twice as Crystal Palace beat Newcastle 2-0 to win their third Premier League game in a row.
Mateta struck in the 55th and 88th minutes to secure victory for Oliver Glasner’s side.
Palace are now well clear of the relegation zone and looking towards the top half of the table, while Newcastle stay seventh.
Palace had the better of a tight first half at Selhurst Park but there were few clear chances at either end.
Eberechi Eze shot wide and Mateta headed over from a cross.
The breakthrough came in the 55th minute when Mateta played a one-two with Jordan Ayew and then finished past Martin Dubravka.
Newcastle saw penalty appeals waved away when Sean Longstaff went down in the box.
Mateta then added a second in the 88th minute to wrap up the win for Palace.
Bournemouth moved up to 10th in the Premier League with a 1-0 victory over Wolves.
Antoine Semenyo scored the only goal of the game in the 37th minute when he finished off a counter attack.
Bournemouth had 11 shots in the first half and went close to extending their lead after the break.
Wolves thought they had equalised when Hwang Hee-chan finished but it was ruled out by the video assistant referee for a foul by Matheus Cunha.
Bournemouth were then reduced to 10 men as Milos Kerkez was sent off for a sliding challenge on Matt Doherty.
Wolves piled on the pressure but couldn’t score as the Cherries took all three points.
