Max Holloway cut his interview with Joe Rogan short and stormed out of the cage after dominating one of the most unique fighters ever.
On July 19, Max Holloway will return to the Octagon for the first time since his brutal KO loss to Ilia Topuria at UFC 308, when he takes on Dustin Poirier in the UFC 318 main event.
Holloway and Poirier first met when âBlessedâ was just 19 years old making his UFC debut, and Poirier almost snapped his arm in half when he submitted him in the first round.
The two then met again in 2019 when they clashed for the interim lightweight title, and once again Poirier picked up the win. And ahead of their trilogy in Louisiana, Holloway is focused on avoiding making UFC history by losing two trilogies.

After suffering back-to-back losses to Dennis Bermudez and Conor McGregor, Holloway went on a record setting run of scoring 11 featherweight wins in a row.
And one of those came against one of the most unique fighters the sport has ever seen in Anthony Pettis. After recording nine impressive wins, Holloway was granted an interim title fight opportunity against the former champion at UFC 206.
Despite that, there was drama ahead of their fight as âShowtimeâ Pettis missed weight during the official weigh-ins, making him ineligible to win the interim title.
However, that didnât matter as during the fight, âBlessedâ utterly dominated the former champion on the feet, utilizing his dominant boxing and footwork to outscore Pettis over several rounds.
And then in the third round, Holloway landed a huge body kick and right hand, pushing Pettis back against the fence where he then unleashed several powerful shots to the body and head, folding him to the ground.

Holloway cut interview with Rogan short and stormed out of cage after setting up Aldo fightFollowing his dominant performance, Holloway made sure to make use of his time on the microphone and went in on then undisputed champion, Jose Aldo.
And after calling for a $50,000 performance bonus from Dana White, Holloway cut his interview with Rogan short and stormed directly out of the Octagon.
âI asked you guys earlier this week, we couldnât find Aldo so I started calling him Waldo, Jose Waldo, tell him to meet me in Brooklyn in February, letâs get the fââ real (title).
âShoutout to Anthony Pettis⊠And Dana White, thatâs 50Gâs right there, that man has never been stopped before,â Holloway said as he stormed out of the cage.
âCongratulations on an awesome victory Max Holloway, Max Hollowayâs left the building,â Rogan reacted.
