Merlin has announced a strategic partnership with streaming platform Audiomack to amplify independent music on the platform. The indie-centric partnership will help Merlin’s dynamic membership gain access to Audiomack’s global audience of engaged listeners, expanding the digital footprint of Merlin members’ music. The agreement also includes Audiomod, a new tool that allows fans to customize their listening experience—speeding up tracks, slowing them down, filtering ‘nightcore,’ ‘daycore,’ or creating their own custom listening filters.

These features allow users to customize their on-platform experience via licensed content, rather than the unlicensed pitch-shifted tracks that dominate TikTok.

“Through Audiomack’s partnership with Merlin, we’re not just amplifying independent music—we’re revolutionizing how artists connect with their fans and how fans listen to their music,” shares Dave Macli, CEO of Audiomack. “Merlin members can now claim their artists’ Audiomack accounts to send messages to their fans, and using Audiomod—those fans can listen to their favorite artist’s music in a brand new way.”

“We are excited to embark on this journey with Audiomack, a platform that shares our passion for amplifying the voices of independent artists. This partnership is a testament to our ongoing mission to open new doors for our members, offer unparalleled opportunities to recording rights holders, and further enrich the global music ecosystem.”

Merlin says this collaboration with Audiomack underscores its strategic approach to expanding the digital footprint of independent music by partnering with platforms that prioritize artist visibility and fan engagement. As the organizations embark on this partnership, they focus on fostering a relationship that delivers substantial value to Merlin’s members and the artists they represent.Merlin’s membership includes independents such as Armada Music, AudioSalad, Because, Better Noise, Cinq Music Group, Encore Recordings, Exceleration Music, Freeme Digital, FUGA, Hopeless Records, IDOL, Kontor New Media, Mad Decent, MNRK Music Group, Mom+Pop, Monstercat, Mushroom Music, Ninja Tune, Payday, Reach Records, Redeye, Secret City, Secretly, Symphonic Distribution, Sub Pop, Too Lost, Vydia, Zebralution, and hundreds more.
