Last week, we brought you the news that Atlus’s upcoming JRPG Metaphor: ReFantazio now has a chunky free trial on Xbox, but an early review from outlet Famitsu is also here to give us strong vibes that this could be a bit of a banger.
Shared on social media earlier today, the Japanese site has given Metaphor an overall score of 37/40 using its review scale. Four critics played the game for the review, with three of them giving it a 9 and one giving it a 10.
Of course, this is just one outlet’s impressions for now so do bear that in mind, but it hopefully bodes well for SEGA’s latest JRPG when it launches. The full title will be out on Xbox in just over a week, so eager fans haven’t got long to find out for themselves.
As we alluded to up at the top, you can actually play Metaphor: ReFantazio for about five hours right now via the game’s free ‘Prologue’ demo on Xbox, so that certainly looks worth a go if you’d like to get a sneak peek at what Famitsu is raving about here. Then, it’s onto the full release come October 11th, folks.
Does this make you even more excited for the full release? Tell us your thoughts down below.
