During Sunday’s Little League Classic between the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers, Major League Baseball revealed the two teams that will have the honor of playing in the game next season.
MLB announced that the New York Mets and Seattle Mariners will face each other in the 2025 Little League Classic in Williamsport, Pennsylvania:

The Mets previously made an appearance in the Little League Classic in 2018, going up against the Philadelphia Phillies at Journey Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field. New York earned an 8-2 victory in the game.
This will mark the first appearance in the game for the Mariners, which will be especially meaningful for the city of Seattle. The state of Washington has been a major part of the Little League World Series recently, producing each of the four most recent Northwest Region Champions.
The Mets and the Mariners met for the first time this season earlier this month, with Seattle completing a three-game sweep at home. The two teams have almost identical records, with the Mariners sitting in second place in the AL West at 64-61 and the Mets ranking third in the NL East at 64-60.
New York will begin a three-game series against the Baltimore Orioles on Monday, while Seattle will take on the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Little League Classic was launched in 2017 and is played in connection to the Little League World Series. Major leaguers attend some of the LLWS games during the day and engage with the players and fans. The Little League Classic is broadcast nationally exclusively on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball.
