Michael Bisping claims Chael Sonnen hit him so hard, he thought he was ‘In the middle of a field on a bike’
Michael Bisping has confessed that Chael Sonnen hit him so hard during their fight that he ended up getting transported to ‘the middle of a field’, where he was riding a bike through the flowers.
The pair of middleweight icons went head-to-head on January 28, 2012, inside the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, USA.

After three tough rounds, ‘The American Gangster’ was declared the winner. However, many still believe that ‘The Count’ ought to have gotten his hand raised.
But regardless of whether he should’ve received the decision or not, Bisping certainly didn’t have it all his own way.
At one point, Sonnen landed a punch so ferocious that it transported the Brit from the cage, to a tranquil field, where competing in the art of combat couldn’t have been further from his mind.

In an episode of Rob & Romesh vs UFC, he said: “I was fighting a guy called Chael Sonnen. He took me down; I was trying to get back to my feet. (Mimicks punch), bang, he hits me with a proper good shot.
“This is not a joke; momentarily, I was transported. I was in the middle of a field on a bike, riding through a field on a bike, with all these golden flowers everywhere.”
For a brief period, Bisping felt at ease, enjoying his imaginary cycle ride, but it didn’t last for long.
He recalled: “Then all of a sudden, I come back to, I’m like, ‘I’m in the f**ing octagon, taking shots in the face.’ I’m like, ‘S**t, put me back in that field’.”
