After getting into a light shoving match during their faceoff at a press conference at Fanatics Fest in New York City on Sunday, heavyweight legend Mike Tyson took to social media to poke fun at his opponent Jake Paul.
Tyson posted photos of his faceoff with Paul and declared, “I love meeting my fans.”

For most of the press conference, it was clear that Tyson wasn’t taking things as seriously as Paul was, indicating that he doesn’t see the former YouTuber as much of a threat. During their faceoff, the 58-year-old playfully shoved Paul and laughed when the 27-year-old shoved him back:

Tyson was scheduled to face Paul on July 20, but he was forced to withdraw from the fight due to an ulcer flare-up. Their fight date was pushed back to Nov. 15, and it is still set to be the first major combat sports event to be broadcast live on Netflix.
Many have criticized the matchmaking between Paul and Tyson due to their 30-year age difference. However, the former heavyweight champion didn’t sound too worried about how he’d fare against the youngster.
When asked why he would agree to fight Paul at this stage in his life, Tyson responded, “Because I can. Who else can do it but me? Who else is he gonna fight to make this happen? We just gotta listen to the fact, we got a YouTuber fighting the greatest fighter that has ever lived.”
While Tyson isn’t concerned about Paul’s skills, Paul is coming off a sixth-round TKO victory over Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship veteran Mike Perry last month that improved his record to 10-1. Tyson will be motivated to show that he can still deliver a strong performance despite his age.
