MLB live scores: Opening Day updates, results, highlights from 2024 baseball games

There might be two MLB games already in the books for 2024 thanks to the Seoul Series, but make no mistake: This is Opening Day.

Thursday will officially open up the season, with most of the 30 teams in action — but not all, as several teams announced weather-related postponements. Still, there will be shortage of excitement.

Shohei Ohtani and the Dodgers will make their stateside debut after playing two games against the Padres in South Korea to begin the 2024 season. But Ohtani won’t be the only new face in a new place.

Juan Soto will slot into a lineup with Aaron Judge and the Yankees as they face the Astros. And in Baltimore, Corbin Burnes will make his Oriole debut after an offseason trade from the Brewers.

In the primetime slot, the reigning champion Rangers will face off against the Cubs. That game should have no shortage of excitement as Wyatt Langford makes his MLB debut for Texas alongside stars Corey Seager and Evan Carter, while the Cubs will bring back Cody Bellinger to a lineup is taking aim at an NL Central title.
