Mo Kudus will miss six games after dismissal against Spurs -Former EPL Referee

Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus got sent off for the first time in his career in the English Premier League after seeing red in West Ham United’s 4-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspurs.

Kudus got shown a yellow card for striking Spurs players Micky Van De Ven and Pape Sarr in the face in an altercation but after a VAR review, the yellow card was rescinded and the Black Stars player was shown a straight red card.

Receiving the direct sending-off means that Kudus will miss games against Manchester United, Nottingham Forest and Everton.

However, according to former EPL referee Mike Dean while speaking on Sky Sports, Kudus could miss more games to the point where he returns in December as he is set to miss six games and not three due to retrospective action.

“When you see the footage back, the first one he could got sent off for-which I’m hoping he has then hopefully the second one, the FA will then take retrospective action so he’ll get done twice in my opinion because he’s hit two different players in the face on two occasions. He should do. I think he will get done twice.”

A six game ban means Kudus would be available to play in West Ham’s game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on December 9.
