NBA Legend has an interesting choice for a new player to be in the GOAT conversation

NBA Legend James Worthy believes that Phoenix Suns superstar forward Kevin Durant should be in the Greatest of All Time (GOAT) conversation. Currently, the GOAT conversation has been between Michael Jordan and Lebron James.

“I just love his range, the way he can move out to the three, you can’t stop him in the mid-range game, he’s a pretty good defensive player, and he doesn’t get talked enough about,” said Worthy. “If you’re talking like top seven guys who can be the greatest of all time, he’s in there in my opinion. He’s just a phenomenal player.”

Durant definitely has a Hall of Fame career. A four-time Scoring Champ, two-time NBA Champ, two Finals MVPs, one regular season MVP, was the ROTY, and 14 All-Star Selections. In his career, he’s averaged 27 points, seven rebounds, and four assists a game, shooting almost 40% from three as a seven-footer.

Should he be in the GOAT conversation? Probably not, because the players ahead of him such as James and Jordan have such legendary and iconic careers, they can only be compared to each other.  However, KD is definitely a top 10 player of all time, and a top three small forward. He has the accolades, and he brought a whole new style of play with his size. No other seven-footer can move or shoot like him, and the only person who may be able to is Victor Wembanyama.
