NBA Summer League play from Las Vegas continued on Wednesday with 18 teams in action on Day 6, including Bronny James and the Los Angeles Lakers, Kyle Filipowski and the Utah Jazz, DJ Burns and the Cleveland Cavaliers and Kel’el Ware and the Miami Heat.
The slate also saw the unquestioned dunk of the summer courtesy of the Heat’s Alondes Williams.

Bronny James Has Best Pro Game
Bronny James endured significant offensive struggles heading into Wednesday, but he enjoyed a fantastic outing against the Atlanta Hawks thanks to 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting (2-of-5 from three) in an 87-86 win.
He also came through in the clutch with a corner three for a 79-all tie late.

Fans took note of his outing.
Damien Peters @DamienPetersNBABronny James has his best game as a pro thus far in his career. 12 points, including 2 three-pointers, was very engaged defensively and looked more comfortable out there. Work to do but #Lakers get their first Summer League win.
Brian Adjei @AdjeiBrianBronny James has clutch genes 🧬 3️⃣🏀
AlBoogie @AlBoogie_SportsLoved how aggressive Bronny was today!! Looked very comfortable and didn’t second guess taking shots. Just keep improving every time out young fella!! #BronnyJames #Lakers
The Hawks were playing with No. 1 overall pick Zaccharie Risacher, who was out Wednesday with a right quad contusion.
Filipowski, Williams Excel for Jazz in Win
The Utah rookies had a great day in an 86-76 win over the Toronto Raptors.
Filipowski finished with 20 points, seven rebounds and three steals.
NBA @NBANo. 32 pick Kyle Filipowski DOMINATED in Vegas as the @utahjazz pulled out the win!

Williams amassed 15 points. And for good measure, Utah’s first-round pick last year (Taylor Hendricks) had 23 points on 9-of-10 shooting.
Filipowski, a second-round pick, got buzz on X postgame.
Ben Anderson @BensHoopsKyle Filipowski is kind of the ultimate candidate for pre-draft overthinking.
7-footer who can do a bit of everything offensively, good rebounder, and understands the game.
But he’s ripe for nitpicking and the concerns drown out the obvious strengths, and as a result, he slips.

Tony Jones @TjonesonthenbaFilipowski in space at the center position has been a lot for opponents to handle this week
NBA Hoops Online @NBABoardsThe Kyle Filipowski that has been playing for the Jazz in Vegas is not the same player we seen in Salt Lake City.
The Filipowski in SLC was one of the worst players I had ever seen in summer league. The player in Vegas is very very good.
DJ Burns Sees Limited Action
NCAA tournament star DJ Burns is simply not getting much run with the Cleveland Cavaliers. After starring at NC State and leading the Wolfpack to an ACC title and a Final Four spot as an No. 11 seed, playing time is hard to come by for Burns in the pros.
Burns had a quiet outing in the Cavs’ loss, scoring just two points on 1-of-2 shooting in six minutes. At least one fan took notice of his 6’9″, 275-pound size, though.

Burns has fared well this summer when called upon, though, notably getting seven points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block in 14 minutes off the bench in a 112-81 win over the Milwaukee Bucks last Sunday.
Ke’lel Ware Dominates Mavericks; Williams Delivers Eye-Popping Dunk
The former Indiana center crushed the Dallas Mavericks thanks to a 24-point, 10-rebound, three-block outing, his second straight double-double. He also shot 9-of-12 from the field, and the Heat outscored the Mavs by 22 with him on the floor (while being outscored by nine without him).
The Mavs had a hard time getting anything going in the post with Ware down low, and he was a problem in the paint offensively.

Dustin Dopirak @DustinDopirakKel’El Ware 24 points on 9 of 12 shooting, 10 rebounds, three blocks. Been really impressive for the Heat in Summer League.
Mon Anthony Valmoria @MorvalNBABam Adebayo’s emergence as a big that could shoot the middy and occasional threes as well as rookie Kel’el Ware’s good summer league showing are music to the ears of Heat fans
This allows Bam to play the 4 and share the floor with Ware
G(rįžźGõät)🧣 @grizzgoatsportsThe Heat are genuinely scary if Kel’el Ware plays anything close to his summer league level when the season starts https://t.co/9x05Ufjjzv
As great as Ware was, Williams’ dunk will be the biggest takeaway from this game. Simply put, it was extraordinary.
NBA @NBAUnreal bounce.
Perfect form.

The summer league continues Thursday with seven more games beginning at 4:30 p.m. ET when the Indiana Pacers play the Denver Nuggets.
