New York Giants waive DT with injury designation among several roster moves

The New York Giants waived defensive tackle Ryder Anderson with an injury designation, the team announced Monday.

Anderson suffered a hamstring injury during the preseason game against the Houston Texans. If he clears waivers, the team will have the option to revert Anderson back to the Reserve/Injured list or release him with an injury settlement, making him a free agent.

Anderson was set to potentially hold a depth role in the rotation at defensive tackle so this injury certainly means they could look to the waiver wire on cut-down day to fill the void.

The Giants also placed offensive tackle Yodny Cajuste on the Reserve/Injured list with a foot injury, which he also suffered in the preseason game against the Texans.

Additionally, the Giants signed two undrafted free agent rookies in the form of defensive lineman Kyler Baugh out of Minnesota and linebacker Trey Kiser out of South Alabama.
