Philadelphia Eagles (9-2) at Baltimore Ravens (8-4), 4:25 p.m. Sunday
The Line: Ravens minus-3/Total: 50.5
What is the line telling you:
The price on this matchup opened up with Baltimore minus-3 and the total set at 51. There has not been any movement in the market all week. The bet splits offshore and in Las Vegas, however, are on the Eagles as close to 65% of the tickets written, and almost 90% of the overall money wagered is on Nick Sirianni’s team. The early public action is heavily on the Birds.
Other than the Detroit Lions, the Eagles are the hottest team in the league coming into this matchup, winning seven-straight games by an average margin of 15 points per game. What is even more impressive is how well the Eagles’ defense has played in that time, giving up an average of just 14 points per game.
Bottom line:
This week they’re going up against Lamar Jackson, who is having the best season of his career, throwing for 3,043 yards with 27 touchdowns and only three interceptions. The other problem the Eagles have is that they are going up against the No. 1 rushing defense in the NFL that gives up an average of only 3.5 yards per rush attempt. The Ravens’ defense also gives up the fewest yards after running back contact. Lamar Jackson has owned the NFC with a 21-1 straight up record.
The price on the game is spot on, but if you can find a minus-2.5 on the Ravens, I would take the home team. I also like the under 24.5 in the first half.
