The bosses in Nightingale tend to be quite difficult. Defeating them alone is not impossible, but it is advised to take them on in multiplayer to make the experience less difficult. You will also need high gear ratings to beat every boss, so make sure you put on your best items and weapons.

Fabled Automaton Knight

The Fabled Automaton Knight appears in the inner sanctum of the Antiquarian Site of Power. It spawns just after you activate the altar mechanism, so it is wise to not flip the switch till you get ready for the fight. Make sure to regenerate all your stamina and health before getting into the fight.

Since it is an early game boss you will run into, you shouldn’t have a hard time with it. Its mechanics are very simple. The only thing that might slow you down is the early-game gear you will have.

The Knight glides around the arena and strikes with a super-fast dash. It also has a magic sword, which can slash your armor and health in a single shot. If you are within its striking range, be ready to dodge out of the way.

The best strategy to go against the Fabled Automaton Knight is to keep your distance and slowly chip at its health with ranged attacks. If it tries chasing you, pull out the maul and give it a smack. After the hit, make sure you roll out of the way to dodge its counter.

After destroying the Knight, you can retrieve the Nightingale Essence Dust from the altar in Hope Echo and talk to Puck, who will give you the Antiquarian Card.

Humbaba

Humbaba is a giant beast that roams the swamps of the Faewilds. It’s a big, tough creature that destroys anything in its path, like land and trees. As long as you keep your distance, it won’t harm you, but if you attack it, Humbaba will defend itself and charge at you.

Once you catch its attention, Humbaba becomes very dangerous, hitting hard and causing a lot of damage. You can fight it alone, but it’s better to team up with others. The best way to defeat Humbaba is to spread out and distract it with ranged weapons.

You can also use a strong melee weapon like an Ornate Maul and get close to striking heavy blows. Just be careful to avoid its legs, as its kicks can be very powerful. Focus on hitting Humbaba’s head, as that’s its weak spot, and doing so will reduce its health faster.

Elder Eoten

The Elder Eoten is a giant creature that looks like a huge tree and is mostly found in forest areas. It has massive branches that cover a wide area. How it reacts to you depends on what you do. If you place Ritual Fabled Meat in its offering bowl, the tree will give you an Elder Eoten Heart. But if you offer the wrong thing, the tree will get angry and come out of the ground to attack.

Once the Elder Eoten is triggered, it will try to hit you with its long roots. Since it’s a tree, the best weapon to use against it is a Wooden Axe. You can use the Axe to chop down its roots and then attack the purple-glowing heart inside its body.

Sun Giant

The Sun Giant is the biggest and toughest of all the Apex Creatures. Even though he’s massive and strong, he’s not naturally aggressive. You can usually find him in the Desert Hunt Realms.

Like the Elder Eoten, the Sun Giant accepts offerings and has his own preferences. Depending on what you offer, he will give you different resources. He especially likes receiving a Ritual Curio Configuration, and in return, he’ll give you a Pellucidic Etched Ingot.

Trading with him is a good option, but if you want to fight him, get ready for a tough battle. The best way to fight the Sun Giant is to use ranged weapons with high damage. He wears a big, glowing necklace around his neck—aim for the necklace and his head to reduce his health. Snipers can be effective against him, but be sure to use cover to avoid his powerful Spire Beam and Cluster Blast attacks.
