‘Nukitashi the Animation’ Announces Additional Cast
The official X (formerly Twitter) account for Nukitashi the Animation television anime revealed additional cast on Monday. The anime series adapting the visual novel Nukitashi is scheduled to premiere on July 19 at 2:05 a.m. on AT-X, followed by BS11, Tokyo MX, Gifu Broadcasting, KBS Kyoto, and Mie Broadcasting.

Singer-songwriter Yuki Yumeno is performing the opening theme “Utopia or Dystopia” and Rie Ayase (Haitai Nanafa) is performing the ending theme “Saikai-kei Joshi wa Dou Surya Ii desu ka?.”
Nobuyoshi Nagayama (Happy Sugar Life) is helming the anime at Passione. Kenta Ihara (Mieruko-chan) is handling the series composition and penning the script. Yuki Matsuguma (Oniichan wa Oshimai! main animator) is designing the characters. Ebi Curry Hakushaku, Sasa Ikeki, Kashiko and Umigame are composing the music.
Developed by Qruppo Nukitashi is a visual novel released for Windows in July 2018. DMM Games localization team Shiravune published the game in Chinese and English in June 2023. Qruppo released the Nukitashi 2 sequel game in July 2019. Shiravune published the game on Steam and Johren in February 2024.
Mameojitan began drawing a manga adaptation on Beaglee’s Manga Otaku website in December 2020 and later in Ultra Jump in November 2021. Shueisha shipped the sixth and final volume in February 2024. A sequel series, titled Nukitashi R, started serializing on Bealgee’s Manga Otaku website on May 1. Kadokawa shipped the first volume on July 9.
