A True Bavarian Celebration in the Heart of Guangzhou
This year’s festival will transform the hotel’s 1,200-square-meter Crystal Ballroom into a thrilling Bavarian beer hall inspired by Guangzhou’s city flower, the red kapok.
Long communal tables, overflowing mugs, and servers in traditional dirndls and lederhosen will set the tone for three unforgettable nights of music, food, and cheer.
The event promises unlimited German beer, a buffet of authentic Bavarian delicacies crafted by the hotel’s culinary team, and a jubilant atmosphere that captures the spirit of Munich’s famed Oktoberfest.
Live Music, Unlimited FunFlying in straight from Bavaria, the SAKRISCH GUAT Band will headline this year’s festivities.
The six-piece ensemble is known for its upbeat Oktoberfest classics and its creative twists on Chinese pop hits, turning every performance into a cross-cultural musical conversation.
Their lively tunes and crowd interactions embody the festival’s motto:
“Happiness Knows No Borders.”
And for those who want to keep the spirit going, Café Veranda at China Hotel is offering a German Food Buffet, which features pork knuckles, bratwurst, pretzels, and more, all in a relaxed, elegant setting.
A Toast to TraditionOktoberfest traces its roots to 1810 in Munich, when locals celebrated the royal wedding of Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese with horse races, music, and overflowing beer.
Two centuries later, that same joy echoes in Guangzhou, where east meets west, and every toast bridges cultures.
So this fall, grab your friends, lift your mugs, and join the chorus:
“Prost, Guangzhou — Cheers to the World!”
