Olandria’s Nic-Free PDA Photos Sparks Chaos Among “Love Island” Fans

Olandria Carthen is making some big moves—but fans are divided over what those moves entail.

On November 6, the Love Island star caused a brief meltdown among Nicolandria fans thanks to some photos that were first posted by DeuxMoi. The 27-year-old reality star shot to stardom during the most recent season of the dating show for her beauty, charm, and rom-com-coded romance with fellow Love Island-er Nicolas Vansteenberghe.

But now, fans are not quite sure where they stand thanks to an image of Olandria holding hands with model Asher London Williams in New York City. But don’t panic just yet. Here’s what we know—and what fans are theorizing these photos really depict.

First, who are Nic and Olandria (a.k.a. Nicolandria)?The pair—who shared a moment early on in season seven before coupling up with other contestants—went particularly viral for their ultra-romantic reunion in episode 20, when Nic full-on ran to join Olandria in a getaway car after their other relationships failed. They returned as a unit and the rest is history: They came in second place to Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales but were first in the hearts of Nicolandria fans, and Olandria has since made the near-impossible jump from niche reality star to full-on celebrity.

We at Glamour would know. On November 4, the pair attended the 2025 Glamour Women of the Year Awards in New York City, and you’d think Olandria was being honored based on all the attention she drew from the evening’s honorees, as well as the online fans who created their own #OlandriaxGlamourWOTY hashtag on X.com.

What have Nicolandria said about their post-show relationship?Though Nic and Olandria have been attending events together and hyping each other up since the Love Island finale aired on July 13, the pair are trying to avoid moving too fast based on all the hype from the show.

“I know people are expecting us to to be labeled by now,” Nic said during the reunion, which aired on August 25. “We’ve always been believers in taking our time with things and not trying to let outside pressure dictate our relationship.” At the time, he did confirm they were planning dates and taking trips together.

On November 1, Nic told Today that he was looking forward to a break from the chaos that has come from the show, press appearances, and sponsorship deals—but not a break from Olandria. “I think at this point we’re looking for just a breath of a fresh air from all the hectic-ness,” he said. “I’ve said this before, like, I want to go on our hot air balloon date, I want to do all these things—but at this point, I’m like, I just want to sit on a couch and do nothing with her. That sounds elite.”

Then, during a chat on Snapchat, he seemed to put some labels on it, saying he came out of the Love Island experience with a “partner and a girlfriend,” according to one video from the Snap Forward panel.

Okay, so what about these Nic-free photos?Just two days after their appearance at Glamour Women of the Year, Olandria was photographed holding hands with model Asher London Williams, leading some fans to instantly speculate that she was hard-launching a breakup and a new relationship all in one go. Even the photo agency Backgrid described Asher as Olandria’s “boyfriend” in an Instagram post.

“This is how I’m finding out Nicolandria broke up?!?!” one of many users commented on DeuxMoi’s post, while another wrote, “looks like her and Nic didn’t last.”

However, those kinds of comments were very quickly drowned out by celebratory speculation that Olandria is modeling in a new Alexander Wang ad campaign, given the bold nature of the photo and the clear placement of an Alexander Wang shopping bag.

“This is amazing marketing,” one fan commented. “Watch all the haters act slow on purpose and convince themselves this is her cheating on Nic in the middle of NYC with paparazzi in her face lmao.”

Another wrote, “Olandria’s first real scandal for a large scale campaign this ICON.”

What’s their evidence?Fans claim Olandria recently posted about receiving gifts from Alexander Wang, which could hint at a working relationship. One Reddit user shared a screengrab of her alleged Instagram Story, which was captioned, “Woke up to gifts 🥹​🖤​”

“Olandria literally posted today the things she was sent by Alexander Wang. It’s clear she’s working with the brand,” one fan commented on DeuxMoi’s post. “Hence the Alexander Wang bag being displayed in all the shots. It’s definitely for a campaign (the guy is a model). She was front row at Alexander Wang for New York Fashion Week. Excited for her since she wants to get more into modeling.”

And yes, Olandria and Nic attended the brand’s NYFW runway show back in September.

So what’s the verdict?The Alexander Wang theories are definitely more compelling than the breakup rumors, especially considering Olandria and Nic attended the Fortune & Forks Foundation Gala together on November 7. Both shared photos from their evening on Instagram on November 8, with Olandria commenting “Handsome face” with two heart-eyes emojis on Nic’s post.

Meanwhile, Nic took the opportunity to stir the pot a bit. “Asher real quite since this dropped, he commented on his own Instagram post. According to fan screenshots, Olandria replied “just messy 😂” to Nic’s comment.

Fans are, of course, getting a kick out of Nic and Olandria’s comments. “I LIVE FOR MESSY NIC AND ‘MY MAN MY MAN MY MANNN’ Olandria,” one fan posted on X.com.
