Paris Olympics 2024 Highlights: Novak Djokovic has set up a blockbuster men’s tennis final against Carlos Alcaraz. Earlier, Lakshya Sen scripted history as he has become the first Indian male shuttler to enter badminton singles semi-final. Friday was a a day of many firsts for Indian athletes. The Indian archery mixed team of Dhiraj Bommadevara and Ankita Bhakat became the first from the country to enter a medal round at the Olympics. Though they missed out on a medal, it was an historic achievement. In hockey, India achieved another first in 52 years. Harmanpreet Singh scored twice as India registered their first win over Australia since the 1972 Munich Olympics. Earlier, Shooter Manu Bhaker qualified for 25m Pistol Women’s final after finishing 2nd in qualifiers at the Chatearoux Shooting Centre.
