Olympics 2024 medals: Every gold medal won during the Paris Games
With the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris now officially underway, Sports Mole rounds up every gold medal to have been won.
The greatest sporting spectacle on earth is underway, with the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris having now officially begun following a unique opening ceremony.
While some events took place before ‘Day 0’, as is now customary, it was not until day one that the first gold medals of the Games were handed out.
China, who are one of the favourites to top the medal table alongside USA, had the honour of winning the first gold of Paris 2024, doing so in the 10m air rifle mixed team event.

What Olympic gold medals are on offer today?
There are 13 Olympic gold medals up for grabs over the course of the official day one of the Olympics, spread across seven different sports:
Shooting: Mixed team 10m air rifle (9.30am)
Diving: Women’s synchro 3m springboard (10am)
Road cycling: Women’s individual time trial (1.30pm); Men’s individual time trial (3.32pm)
Judo: Women’s -48kg (from 3pm); Men’s -60kg (from 3pm)
Rugby Sevens: Men’s (6.45pm)
Swimming: Men’s 400m free (7.42pm); Women’s 400m free (7.52pm); Women’s 4x100m free relay (8.34pm), Men’s 4x100m free relay (8.44pm)
Fencing: Women’s epee (8.30pm); Men’s sabre (8.55pm)
