Omaha confirmed as host of 2025 USA Triathlon Multisport National Championships
USA Triathlon, in partnership with Omaha Sports Commission and the City of Omaha, Nebraska, has confirmed that it is returning to Omaha for a second year in a row â hosting the 2025 USA Triathlon Multisport National Championships Festival presented by Mutual of Omaha at Lake Cunningham June 4-8, 2025.
The event, which will span over the course of five days, will take the multisport community back to Omaha to compete in 12 events across multiple race formats along with nine national championship events.
The 2024 USA Triathlon Multisport National Championships Festival at Lake Cunningham on Omaha gets under way today, with racing held on June 5-9, 2024. At Lake Cunningham, athletes can expect a rolling bike course with a scenic and relatively flat run course with lake views.
Omaha previously hosted USA Triathlon with the 2016 and 2017 Age Group National Championships. The 2016 and 2017 events occurred at a different venue with different courses.
âWe canât wait to return to Omaha next year,â said Victoria Brumfield, CEO of USA Triathlon. âThe Omaha Sports Commission and the City of Omaha really rolled out the welcome mat this year to help us not only put together a great event, but a great experience overall.
âThe Multisport festival continues to evolve and has really become so much more than racing, itâs a time to come together as a community and celebrate multisport and all of our athletes. Whether its someoneâs first race, theyâre coming back to earn another Multisport Master belt buckle, or taking the opportunity to qualify for Team USA, weâre excited to partner with Omaha and build on this year to create another canât-miss racing experience.â

Lake Cunningham is an ideal venue for the sport of triathlon. We canât wait to see all the athletes, volunteers, and spectators back for year two.â
Athletes are encouraged to participate in multiple disciplines. Once again, anyone who completes five or more races will earn a special belt buckle commemorating the feat. There are also discounts for athletes who register for three or more events.
All races will be held at Lake Cunningham, a 390-acre lake surrounded by a 1,050-acre park located in north central Omaha, Nebraska. The lake was constructed by the US Army Corps of Engineers for flood control and recreation and opened to the public in 1977.
In addition to racing for age group national championships, athletes will also be able to qualify to represent age group Team USA at the USA at the 2026 World Triathlon Age Group World Championships.
