‘One more year’ – Cooper Flagg eyes possible return to Duke with NBA future on the horizon

Flagg has been projected to be first overall pick since before he even stepped foot on campus.

Fast forward less than a year later, he has been as advertised.

And even better.

In what has been presumed as Flagg’s last home game at Cameron Indoor Stadium, Duke thrashed Wake Forest 93-60.

The vaunted ‘Cameron Crazies’ led the arena in chants of shouting ‘one more year’ at Flagg.

After the game, the 18-year-old star took a moment to put everything in perspective.

“I mean, I’m living in the present right now, living in the moment, taking it day by day,” Flagg said.

“I don’t know what the future holds.”

The ‘Cameron Crazies’ have developed a fondness and love for their star player over the season and are hoping he will decide to run it back one more timeDuke is 27-3 overall, 18-1 in the ACC and ranked second in the country.

They will be a one seed when March Madness begins in two weeks and one of the heavy favorites to win it all.

If Duke does win the national championship, it may make it easier for Flagg to tie off into the NBA and not look back.

But what if they come up short and stumble along the way?

What if they get upset in an early round? What then?

Would that fuel Flagg enough to come back for one more year?

Everyone will have to wait and see.

Flagg was reflective after what could have been his last home game as a Blue Devil.

“I mean, this is the best place in college basketball for sure,” Flagg added.

“I’ve loved every single minute of being here. I’ve loved everybody I’ve met, everybody I’ve been around for this whole year.
