Onitsuka Tiger Spring 2026 Ready-to-Wear

A fascination for the past as well as a cosmopolitan vibe guided Andrea Pompilio in the conception of this new Onitsuka Tiger collection. “I can see the people I got inspired by in a cafe in Paris, in the streets of Tokyo, or while walking in Shanghai,” said the Italian designer. The archive was also a strong starting point, specifically the slim stirrup track pants originally presented in the ’70s by the Japanese brand. The signature bright yellow of these pants—clearly recalling the catsuit worn by Uma Thurman in Kill Bill—was matched, on a contrast-based choice, with double-breasted blazers, thus affirming Pompilio’s propensity to mix vintage aesthetics with a more contemporary wardrobe.

Tailored proposals had a big role, often with shrunken proportions, especially for men, like the jackets with the traditional label on the left wrist. Contrasts kept going down the runway with used-effect leather chosen for biker jackets paired with sartorial wide pants or slip dresses created from modified bodysuits and lingerie pieces. The more technical garments, like the orange-tinged parkas with a very cinched waist and the floral-printed quilted jackets, recalling the world of horse riding, contributed to this game of opposites. A touch of glamour came from the tank top dresses fully decorated with beads and scalloped hems recalling Roaring Twenties silhouettes, but with unconventionally sport-inspired drawstring waists.

Among the many different versions of the sneakers presented, the pink satin ballerina-like ones stood out, as did the Mexico 66—one of the most recognizable of Onitsuka Tiger’s pieces. Here they were transformed with leather fringes and tassels to create a hybrid with a more classical shoe. As for the the bags, the Tiger Tote debuted, fully made in canvas with graffiti or floral prints.
